Christmas is a week away!
It’s been an amazing holiday season so far and I can’t wait for Christmas, Hanukkah and our road trip to Tahoe for New Years!
The opening for the new exhibit at Brittany Davis Gallery was this past Saturday and I had 2 new pieces exhibited. Since I am the photographer for all the new artwork that comes in for the new shows I get to see them in person and I love my time with each piece. Here are 2 new pieces of mine that are now up at the gallery amongst all the other fineart.
To recap: The installation at the beautiful and new Crawford Family Wines tasting room in Solvang went terrifically, with the help of Lisa Thomson, it came together easily and looks great. The owners Wendy and Mark Crawford have been incredibly supportive and I feel very fortunate to have my work there. They, along with Suzanne, have already sold one piece of mine! Their space which is shared with the amazing Cailloux Cheese Shop right next door is gorgeous so if you’re local or visiting definitely make it a point to check it out!
On another note, pun intended, I had the ultimate joy of sitting in with David Segalland his band to celebrate his birthday at a new venue in Solvang, CA, Lost Chord Guitars. Chris Pelonis, a talented musician and studio designer who plays with the Jeff Bridges Band, and his wife Kim, have opened up an inviting and intimate gathering place for all to enjoy. If you’re in town you definitely have to stop by this great new venue!
Here’s a video of me playing the piano with the incredible David Segall Band. Click on the photo above to see the vid! David has a voice like an angel and I love playing his music. GO HERE to find out where to download and buy David’s music!
It was a treat to make a vid and visit Helen Bejstrup, who so generously features my work in her beautiful salon, Helen’s Hair Studio, in downtown Santa Ynez, CA. I’m very grateful to have such huge support from my community and I’m thankful every day. (Helen is also a collector of mine)
|Now it’s back into the laboratory now to prepare for the Palm Springs Art Fair in February. But first… we’ll be heading to the snow! Nothing like a road trip with Dave and Luna to Lake Tahoe… where we’ll be ending one year and starting another!|
Remember, if you’re planning on gifting your loved one a piece of my original art, just shoot me an email and I’ll create a beautiful and personalized gift certificate for a commissioned piece! I’ll send digitally or in snail mail. Of course, they are welcomed to pick an available piece on my website too! www.robbiekaye.com
I’ll take this opportunity to say thank you to all my new collectors this year, it fills my heart to know that something I created is contributing beauty or joy to your life.
Have an amazing holiday, whatever you celebrate, celebrate it with love, peace, kindness and so much laughter!
Wishing you a GREAT NEW YEAR full of great health, great friends and of course, great art!!
Thank you so much for sharing this crazy and wonderful journey and for writing to me to share yours.
See you in 2020!!!
Love and Light,
