I was so honored to show this piece at The Brittan

I was so honored to show this piece at The Brittany Davis Gallery in Ojai. @brittanydavisgallery It was a departure from using only resin on aluminum. I believe this was the beginning of experimenting with the textures of paint. It's hard to tell, but those read streaks in the middle are actually created with resin, surrounded with acrylic paint. Whirlwind, 24 x 48 inches, Framed. This piece is now available on my website and at @kefiartgallery

This is one of my favorite pieces and yes, I'm allowed to say that! :-) "She Branches" is about expansion, beauty and exploration. It's about growth and courage. Like the might oaks, we spread out, stand tall and endure. This painting is layered with acrylic paint and the tree in painted in resin. Then I applied a clear coat of resin to the whole piece, which is on wood, giving it even more depth and shine. It is 49 x 50 inches. This piece represents the connection between one's soul and the ability to manifest all the miracles waiting for us as we open our arms to welcome them. (If you look closely, you’ll see the shape of a woman’s body in the bark)

In the past, I’ve felt like I'm waiting for some

In the past, I’ve felt like I'm waiting for something... anything. But now, I prefer to choose not to wait. There's nothing to wait for, we just have 'today.' And today, I choose not to wait. Instead I choose to take action and still create a space for stillness. I open myself up to all the goodness and abundance in the world and I say... come on in! "I'm Not Gonna Wait" 30 x 40, acrylic/resin on wood.
