This quote by Anais Nin is definitely one of my favorites and I don’t think I’m alone in this.  It pretty much sums up that feeling of finally getting to the point of letting go of fear and taking that risk.

It reminds me of another quote by Marianne Williamson, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.…” and while it resonates with so many, we still procrastinate in breaking out, branching out and jumping into the unknown.

There are so many references about living your life as a child lives theirs with wonder and amazement.  There is another trait that children live in the world with and that’s fearlessness.

Sure, we can spend time asking ourselves, “When did I become so afraid? When did I stop taking risks?” Or… we can also ask, “Who gives a crap?”  The past is the past. Then, we can get on with tapping into our courage, which was always there, waiting to be ignited.

So here I go.  One of the things I have been afraid of in the past is introducing new projects I’ve been working on, like designing my photographs on fabric.  Here is a little sneak peek of one of the scarves I created for Robbie Kaye (ROKA) Designs.
