This piece is extremely textural. Many layers of paint create a dimensional aspect. If you look closely you will see a hint of a sunset at the end of a beautiful glistening snowy day.
I am from the east coast of America but live on the west coast and I miss the snow. It’s so magical and calming. I hope that’s what the viewer sees and feels when they look into this piece. I hope it brings up a memory of playing in the snow or looking through windows as the flakes come down and the delight of being told that school is canceled that day, inviting a full day of play.
I love this medium; the way the paint interacts with the different tools and how the colors play with each other. It’s a total collaboration… and then, the viewer gets to ‘play’ too and add their own interpretation and story.
