Infinity

Infinity
If the infinity of the sea may call out thus, perhaps when a man is growing old, calls come to him, too,
from another infinity still darker and more deeply mysterious;
and the more he is wearied by life the dearer are those calls to him.
Henryk Sienkiewicz
I grew up on the east coast, not too far from the ocean.
Later in life, I would go to the ocean for answers. I’d take a notebook and write down pros and cons if I needed to make a decision.
When I lived in NYC I used to get up early in the morning, jump in my car and drive to Long Beach where I would get my run in on the boardwalk… in rain, sleet and snow, I’d be out there running.
I could clear my mind of distraction and still, to this day, when I leave the great wide ocean I feel as though I walk away with just a little bit more clarity then when I arrived.

This is my friend’s daughter running on that very same boardwalk that I used to run on. Of course, I love that she is wearing “Wildflowers” leggings from Treads On Threads. But I also love how happy she looks running along side the beach and ocean.
