In a world shaped by constant change and uncertainty, I return again and again to nature as a place of steadiness, transformation, and quiet beauty.

I work as both a musician and a visual artist, and my paintings are deeply informed by my background in classical and jazz composition. Just as music relies on rhythm, harmony, and space, my paintings are built through layers of light, texture, and movement. I approach each piece as a kind of visual composition — listening for balance, tension, and resolution.

The Naked Trees series explores endurance, presence, and the inner landscapes we navigate as seasons shift. Beneath the starkness of bare trees lies extraordinary life — multiple paths, moments of choice, and the promise of renewal. Winter becomes not a place of hiding, but of becoming; a time to turn inward and emerge changed.

Each painting is subtly infused with essential oils such as lavender, sandalwood, and frankincense, inviting a sensory connection that extends beyond the visual. I also embed a small bird within every landscape — a quiet symbol of freedom, resilience, and watchfulness — often discovered only after time spent with the work.

Paths recur throughout this series as metaphors for connection: between people, places, memory, and possibility. My hope is that Naked Trees offers viewers a space to slow down, reflect, and recognize something of their own journey within these landscapes.
